Yes, yes, I know it's been 3 weeks since my last post...

I'm in the middle of final exams and will come out of my cave soon. I promise.

In the meantime, I thought I'd give all of you a link to this story. Really, there just aren't any words to describe it. I guess the best one that comes to mind is "Ewwww!", followed by some major retching.

xo,
Ms. V

That article was a hoot (in a very creepy oedipal way) I've got a bizarre news story for you:

I was listening to Mancow's Morning Madhouse on the way to work this morning and they were interviewing somelady who was trying to get Aqua Teen Hunger Force banned because she felt it was/is anti-semitic.

And why is it anti-semitic? On the cartoon a chunk of beef is friends with a milkshake-- thus dairy and beef are mixing and that's just not kosher.

Well maybe it's not kosher, but well, isn't that just taking things a bit too far? I would have been laughing, but the lady was so damn serious it was kind of scary.

OK, that lady just decided to take things a little too far. She needs psychiatric help (mind you, I'm Jewish and don't have a problem with it...).

For what it's worth, most people don't realize that mixing beef and milk isn't kosher.

But being a vegetarian, probably helps significantly with staying kosher. Can't mix beef & dairy if you don't eat meat, after all!

Whenever I think of Kosher food, I remember that scene in the beginning of Weekend @ Bernie's when Jonathan Silverman's character takes his date to a Kosher Chinese dive restaurant and raves about the "Sweet & Sour Matzo Balls" Those actually sound pretty damn good!

But alas, I'm yet to find a decent Kosher Asian restaurant in the Chicago area. In high school I tried to talk Geoff Tai into starting a Canadian/Chinese fusion restaurant. He always laughed it off... C'mon wouldn't you just love Kung Pao Poutine?

Mancow used to be the morning DJ on KDON in Salinas years ago, until some Christmas joke debacle and got himself fired. I think it was a song having to do with Rudolph the Brown-Nosed Reindeer. I thought it was hilarious. A lot of people were offended though and called the station.
